Portugal Visit Visa

Portugal is a Schengen Country and it is very important to determine the type of visa for which you are applying being a “Pakistani national”.

Along with a legitimate reason for your traveling, you must apply for the “exact type of visa” as there are two types of visas

Short-term Schengen Visa
Long-term National Visa

Short-term Portugal Schengen Visa can be applied to stay, for up to 90 days. This type of visa can be used for family visits, business meetings, tourism, and games, etc.

Long-term Portugal Schengen Visa can be used for employment, education, obtaining a nationality, starting a business, etc.

Portugal Short-term Tourist Visa Requirements

Business Person

Duly filled visa application form with signatures
Copy of CNIC
Recent passport-size photograph with white background (3.5×4.5 cm)
Passport with validity of a Minimum of 03 months (since intended stay), attach previous passports if available
Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
Flight details (complete itinerary with return tickets). It is mandatory to provide all details if you are planning your visit with short stays in different cities or Schengen states (including trains, rental cars, etc.)
Hotel reservation/booking or other proof of accommodation during your entire visit.
Travelers must have travel medical insurance. All Schengen states must be covered by this insurance, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros. It must also be good for the duration of your visit. Medical insurance documents, including original and duplicates, may be requested.
Income Proof/ Proof of Funds.
NTN (National Tax Number).
Last two years’ tax returns(with FBR acknowledgment).
If NTN/Returns are not available then other income proof, supported by documents, and assets should be present
Last six months bank statement (Signed, stamped and verified)

Requirements for an Employee

Letter/request addressed to “Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad”
Approval of leaves with specific dates on the company’s letterhead
Employment contract
Position and salary
Duration of employment
Pay slip for last three months
Employer’s details (contact and address)
Company owner or self-employed
Company registration certificate

If the applicant is dependent on another applicant

If the relationship not mentioned/covered in FRC then It is necessary to prove of family relationship via national civil status records.
